THOSE THREE GIRLS, COMEDY WRITER PERFORMERS, FUNNY WOMEN, FEMALE COMEDY, GIRLBAND

GIRLBAND Photoshoot

Those Three Girls, together with some special new friends, brought girl power to Brick Lane last month with a photoshoot for our pilot episode of GIRLBAND at Espero Studio.

Many moons ago, when GIRLBAND was a stage show, we played all of the characters ourselves, including the fanclub and band, but as we approach filming a sitcom based around the fanclub members, we felt we needed some new (/young!) faces to play the band.

The photographs taken last month will be used for posters, magazine covers and other artwork to adorn the walls of the fanclub headquarters, where most of the action will take place in our pilot episode.

We can’t wait to see the end result when filming takes place later this summer.

We had an amazing afternoon recreating the iconic poses previously struck by nineties girlband favourites Spice Girls, All Saints and B*witched… cue lots of peace signs, jumping and weird over-familiar touching.

Our GIRLBAND was brilliantly portrayed by the fabulous Grace Dunne, Jade Asha and Carly Kinsella – we had so much fun with these ladies, who approached some truly tasteless nineties posing, fashion and sky-high Buffalo trainers with good grace and humour.

Giulia Scrimieri and Liberty Callaway brought the nineties screaming back to us all with their fantastic costumes, hair and make-up.

Our all-girl team was completed by our wonderful photographer, Stephanie Luker and producer(/wind machine holder) Lucy Fazey.

Thank you everyone! #girlpower
