It’s been a busy few months in the world of GIRLBAND. Work began on the edit of the pilot episode back in August and the theme tune to the series has been being developed by the wonderful Joe Davison and Nikki Davison of Auburn Jam.
Those Three Girls have been beavering away putting together music briefs, trailer briefs, reviewing initial trailer edits and working on further funding applications.

Find out more about the assembly edit here: GIRLBAND – THE EDIT
We had the most amazing week filming the 30 minute pilot for our sitcom GIRLBAND, all thanks to an incredibly supportive and talented team. They were amazing and we cannot thank them enough. The shoot was everything we’d hoped for and more.
What we set out to achieve in such a short space of time was ambitious, due to the limited time frame and budget, but everyone worked so hard, was extremely professional and the filming schedule went as smoothly as anticipated… and it was lots of fun!
Find out more about filming the pilot here: GIRLBAND – FILMING
It’s get in day and our amazing production team are busy transforming the location into Debra Stocking’s house AKA the ‘GIRLBAND United Now & Then’ Headquarters!
Our Production Designer Olivia Young assisted by Laura Martin have done an AMAZING job creating an absolute ton of #GIRLBAND merchandise for set and props. From lunch boxes to clocks… from nail varnish to edible knickers… what more could a 90s super-fan wish for!
Find out more here: GIRLBAND – GET IN

We held a private table read of the latest draft of our sitcom GIRLBAND for our Producer and Director. Look at them… super deep in comedy thought.
With not long to go before we film, it’s important to hear if the script is reading well aloud; pace, story structure, if it’s funny! Quite an important factor when writing a sitcom.

Christmas came early for us this year because thanks to all you lovely backers our Kickstarter wishes came true!
Susie’s beautiful baby girl has arrived making Those Three Girls, Those Four Girls. Congratulations Susie!
We’ve been working hard through the last half of 2015 on script development but once the New Year is here, that’s when the fun will begin.
Thank you again for all your continued support. May all your days be merry and bright.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year!
See you in 2016!
Love T3Gs xxx
We’re off to the The South London Women Writers’ (BAME) Group and other London writers nights to read an extract of the latest redraft of GIRLBAND. There have been lots of changes since our last public read through… accents have been lost, relationships have changed and who the hell is Barry!?! We are spending October looking for feedback and working on script development, ensuring the script is ready for filming next year.
One of our Kickstarter rewards was to host a rehearsed reading of our sitcoms at the Canal Cafe Theatre. The audience was filled with not only some of our lovely Kickstarter supporters but also production companies and a television channel too. Exciting times. The rehearsed reading was a great way for us to show our Kickstarter crowd what they are investing in and also an opportunity for us to test the script in front of a live audience before filming begins.
WE ARE OFFICIALLY FUNDED! Whoop! Whoop! Thank you so much to all of our lovely wonderful Kickstarter supporters who have helped make the pilot episode of our sitcom happen. We are dusting off our gunts as we speak… #GIRLBAND
Find out the latest on our Kickstarter campaign here: GIRLBAND: The Pilot
We’ve been having a gossip.
We had a chat with the lovely Christopher Ratcliff from Methods Unsound about our journey so far, PJ & Duncan and what we really think about the state of British Comedy. Have a read of our interview here: METHODS UNSOUND INTERVIEW
We also caught up with Simon and Declan from The Sitcom Mission and talk about why we think it’s really important to fund and film a pilot for our sitcom…

Our Kickstarter campaign is now live! Take a look at our campaign and what rewards are up for grabs here: KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN FOR GIRLBAND
We are filming our Kickstarter campaign. We are once again collaborating with the lovely Joshua Dean Perry who will be filming and editing the video. Keep an eye out on our website as it will be released very soon!
We have completed the second re-write of our latest sitcom, still untitled, so are keen to start showing our work to gain audience feedback and thoughts. We are starting to attending writers nights to hear what the script reads like out loud.
This month we attended the South London Women’s Writers Group who were very friendly and supportive. The evening was incredibly useful, insightful and they made lovely cake! Highly recommended for any writers in a similar position as it’s a great way to establish how your script is reading to an unknown audience. We anticipate attending more such nights until we are happy with the pilot episode…
Talks are in progress for filming a pilot episode of GIRLBAND this Autumn.
Once we have finished working on a pilot script and treatment for our latest sitcom (as yet untitled) we will turn our attentions back to GIRLBAND. We aim to re-write the pilot and film a full length episode.
We have decided to start a blog to chat about what we get up to behind closed doors. As we are busy in our comedy headquarters, writing away, it’s easy to think we are being lazy… but far from it… so we are going to let you have a look at what we get up to.
Read our blog here: – HOW TO GET YOUR SITCOM ON THE TELLY… and other stories…
More writing… and Christmas. Whoop!

We are delighted to announce that… WE WON THE SITCOM MISSION.

Rewrite, after rewrite, after rewrite and a lot of cups of tea later, we have finally completed GIRLBAND Ep.4 – The Dress for the semi-final of The Sitcom Mission. Next, we go to a table read of the remaining 8 finalists.
We also completed filming on our GIRLBAND teaser. Massive thank you to Chris Allen and Chris Jones who are editing it as we speak. Exciting!
We have taken The Sitcom Mission’s advice and started filming a GIRLBAND teaser for our website. Chris Allen and Chris Jones have come on board to film and edit. Filming should be completed within the next couple of weeks (slightly delayed due to Miss Adele getting married in the morning – Yay!). We can’t wait to see the final edit. #WatchThisSpace
Being in the semi final of The Sitcom Mission has kept us busy. Simon & Declan have set us writing challenges that have seen us create and develop alternative episodes in a matter of weeks. We now have a pilot episode and episode 4 of GIRLBAND. Fingers crossed they like them!
‘With an emphasis firmly on script development, The Sitcom Mission is an international sitcom writing competition, ‘The X Factor for sitcoms’.’
How exciting is that! Told you we’d been busy typing. We can’t wait to start working with Sitcom Mission’s Simon & Declan on the script. Viva la GUNT!
We have been typing away… transforming GIRLBAND from an hour long stage show into the pilot episode of our new sitcom, cleverly titled… GIRLBAND.
We got covered in carrots this February whilst filming some sketches, shot by Joshua Dean Perry. More details will be released soon…
