GIRLBAND, winner of the 2013 Sitcom Mission, tells the story of the obsessive fans of a long-forgotten 90’s pop trio, Girlband. JENNY and DEBRA are the last surviving members of the band’s fanclub: ‘Girlband, United, Now and Then’ (GUNT).
‘Girlband is a well-paced, funny read, with exciting, well developed characters’ –
BAFTA ROCLIFFE 2016
Meanwhile, JENNY’s mother, CAROL, is having relationship troubles of her own. She’s enlisted the help of DEBRA’s younger brother NEIL to help set up her online dating profile. NEIL is experienced with internet romance, as he dreams of running away with the online girlfriend he has never met, and escaping his overbearing older sister. This is devastating news to JENNY, who has been plucking up the courage to declare her feelings for NEIL for as long as she can remember.
With only Girlband in common, will JENNY, DEBRA and CERI’s shared obsession translate into the friendship the lonely women all yearn for? Will Girlband’s last surviving fanclub… survive?
Although fandom is the element that binds these central characters together, GIRLBAND is a story of arrested development, female friendship and the fight of the underdog to triumph over the harsh realities of life. How will the neurotic and eccentric DEBRA cope with her unanticipated housemates? After a shock ‘proposal’, will CERI and GARETH ever make it to the altar? Will NEIL take the opportunity presented by their arrival to finally leave the family home and start a life with his online love (who just happens to resemble JENNY very closely)? Will JENNY ever summon the confidence to speak her true feelings? Will CAROL run out of single, available men in Croydon and the surrounding area? And will the rumoured Girlband reunion ever happen? The series ends with emotional turmoil for many of the characters as NEIL prepares to leave town, and CERI catches GARETH in a compromising position.
‘Character comedy at its best’

Those Three Girls are recording their six part series Ivy View and releasing via podcast later this year.
Wheelchair-bound ex-Army Major Austin and his manipulative lover Vivian are the B&B proprietors of rundown, Gothic mansion, ‘Ivy View’. The scheming duo are harbouring a dark, dreadful secret. For fear of being rumbled by snooping holidaymakers, the hotel has one strict rule: NO GUESTS!
Meanwhile, unsuspecting lovebirds Sara and Liam are lost in a storm, late at night. The mismatched couple are forced to seek refuge at Ivy View. What follows is a weekend they will all live (or die) to forget.
